We recognise that the quality of a school’s leadership is the single most important factor in improving its effectiveness. We also recognise that the more effective a school becomes, the greater the opportunities it creates for its children and young people.

That is why, in Sheffield, we are committed to supporting and developing school leaders.

As a new headteacher in Sheffield, we will provide you with high quality induction support.

You will be invited to attend an additional one-day Organisational Development/Human Resources induction event where information is provided about the OD/HR services and tools provided by the local authority.

You will join the city’s network of headteachers, with access to authority-wide CPD opportunities.

In fact, you will get all the support you need as you develop your career within our vibrant city.
